Match coaching to the player’s aim
Explain whether the player is new to football, wants to develop a particular part of their game, or is looking for regular organised practice. Include the age range and previous playing experience. Ask which goals the session addresses, rather than assuming an academy group and individual coaching provide the same experience.
Individual attention or a team setting
A private session can focus on the player’s agreed development goals. A group can include shared activities and interaction with other players, depending on its structure. Check the group’s age and ability range, player numbers and how individual feedback is given. Friends joining together should still be assessed for an appropriate level.
Confirm the pitch and what to bring
Ask whether the session is on an indoor or outdoor pitch, what the playing surface is and who arranges access. Confirm any pitch charge separately from the coaching fee. Request the provider’s equipment list, including footwear guidance for that specific venue, before buying kit or arriving with equipment that may not be permitted.

For children, clarify parent viewing, arrival and collection arrangements. A session description should not be treated as a guarantee of team selection or competitive results.

Provide your city, preferred area, player experience and available days. Say whether you already have a usable pitch or need one supplied. Compare the actual coach, venue, session length and total price in the published service or proposal. If there is no suitable current listing, submit a request for the team to review.
